We hear it nationally, bringing the Republican Party back together now that there is a presumptive presidential nominee. Some of the thousands of delegates in Washington at the state convention believe it will happen.

"I think it was so fractured for so long, I think it will take a while to put it back together," says Cynthia Secrest from Silverdale, WA.

Secrest and Dave Millard from Longview, WA, say they both were supporters of different presidential candidates but now it is time to rally behind the parties’ choice.

"Trump is the only one that can beat Hillary and he'll do it," says Millard.

101-year-old delegate Gladys Louis-Allen, who's attended 6 conventions, adds if the party doesn't unify they are in trouble.

"America is in deep trouble if we don't watch what we are doing, going back to the way things used to be honest, integrity, that is important," says Louis-Allen.

A large group of Ted Cruz supporters came out to the Washington state convention, wearing red shirts to show their support. But leaders of the campaign say it’s more about keeping a conservative platform base rather than lining up behind a candidate who has already announced he suspended his campaign.

Everyone attending the convention can agree on one thing, “Vote Republican.”
