A 28-year old man showed up at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco at about 6:30 Tuesday night with multiple gunshot wounds.

Pasco Police Sgt. Scott Warren said the man had been shot in the area of Ruby and 8th in Pasco, and that's where police spent several hours Tuesday evening combing the area for evidence.

Two people drove the victim the few short blocks to the hospital, and they were detained and questioned by police.

Detectives gathered information about a possible suspect vehicle, and at about 10:45pm, officers spotted a vehicle registered to the same address as a possible suspect.

Officers attempted to pull over the sedan, but the driver sped away down Sylvester, then down 28th toward Court Street, before merging onto the Highway 395 toward Kennewick. The vehicle continued down Highway 240 toward Richland, before taking the Lee-Volpenteset Bridge back into Pasco, reaching speeds of 80 miles an hour and greater. The ultimately made it's way onto Riverhaven, where it lost control at Rd. 44, crashing into a chainlink fence before coming to rest in a private field.

Two adults  in the car were detained, along with a child. No one in the car was hurt, but they were transported to the hospital for medical clearance.

A Pasco Police cruiser was also damaged in the pursuit.

Police haven't yet said what charges might be filed in connection with the shooting.
