Everyone knows about Taco Tuesday, but what about Taco Thursday!

Yesterday was Taco Thursday at Gerald's Place, located on the Chelan County PUD campus. When I first heard about this, I said to myself, "I've got to try this out”, so yesterday was the day.

My coworker Michaella and I jumped into the three-wheeler and went on down to try it out. It's about a 15-minute drive from work.

The official address is 203 Olds Station Rd. They are open from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and if you're feeling like a real special breakfast on Friday, they offer homemade biscuits and gravy. (yum)

But I was there for the tacos.

The Taco Thursday menu offers soft tacos, Hard tacos, Taco salad, A baked potato stuffed with Taco fixings and they also offer quesadillas. I decided to go with two soft tacos which price is out at $8.99.

These are not like your average street tacos, which taste great but are very tiny. These are made with a large flour tortilla. They pack them full of seasoned ground beef with lettuce, onion, cheese, olives, and tomatoes, with jalapenos, salsa, and sour cream on the side.

How are they made?

This style of Taco is more of an Americanized version but still very good. They tossed the flour tortillas on the flattop for a few minutes just to warm them up and give them a light toasting. Then they put them together, hand you the plate and you're off and running. We got there at about 11:00 so the seating was easy to find. By the time 11:30 rolled around, they were more than half full.

These are good sized tacos, so it only took two to fill me up just fine. If you're looking for authentic Mexican street tacos, this is probably not the place for you. But if you're looking for a big taco that'll fill you up and tastes good, this is your place.

Will I be going back?

Wednesday's special is hamburgers, so I'm going to have to come and try that out one of these weeks, and I'm also going to have to come back and try the stuffed Taco baked potato on Thursday.

That sounds awesome to me.
