Karen Gayle Dix Is Charged With Seven Counts of Theft of a Firearm
A Benton County Sheriff's Deputy was initially called out on a burglary report. Five long guns and two pistols were reported missing along with several other items.

After investigation, an alleged suspect, Karen Gayle Dix was identified. She claimed she was coerced into taking the guns. However, she later admitted to stealing three of the weapons.
Pawn Shop Databases Showed the Woman Turned Over Seven Stolen Firearms
Further investigation recovered evidence showing Dix pawned multiple stolen firearms. According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office:
Today, deputies served an approved search warrant at the local business to recover the firearms. Unfortunately, the business was also victimized during these transactions, but they were extremely cooperative and helpful throughout the investigation. We are also working to obtain video evidence documenting the suspect pawning the stolen weapons.
The Suspect, Karen Gayle Dix Is Charged With Multiple Counts of Theft, Including:
• Theft of a firearm
• Felony theft (2nd-degree)
• Trafficking stolen property
