If you think you're safe from internet viruses by using your smart phone... think again. Sandy Olson is the Walla Walla County Crime Victim's Advocate, and says she recently helped a local man who's phone had been locked by a virus.

"People get it from downloading onto their phone, maybe they'll click on a link in a website, and it ends up downloading it" Olson says.

A warning will show up on your phone, claiming to be from the Cyber Police, preventing you from using the phone unless you pay a ransom. In this case, the hackers demanded a 200-dollar ransom paid in iTunes gift cards.
