UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore.-- Deputies in Umatilla Count are investigating a pair of shootings that occurred over the weekend.

Deputies responded to a report of shots fired Sunday, July 5, 2020 near SW 23rd St. and West Highland Ave. just outside the City of Hermiston. Witnesses reported seeing at least three vehicles involved in a shooting in the area.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.

Witness reported seeing a newer pearl white 4-door, possibly a Mitsubishi Galant, as well as a newer silver SUV, possibly a Nissan Pathfinder, along with a black 2-door Honda Civic with a “coffee can” exhaust and broken passenger side window.

The second shooting occurred on Monday, July 6, 2020 after 9:00 p.m. on Gillespie Ln. just outside the City of Hermiston where deputies responded to a report of shots fired. A home in the area was hit several times, but there were no reports of any injuries.

Witness told officers that there appeared to be just one vehicle involved in that incident. The suspect vehicle was described only as a light colored smaller size 4-door.
