Two of three Hanford underground storage structures reinforced with grout
RICHLAND, Wash.-Two of the three underground structures at risk for collapse at the Hanford Site have now been stabilized.
According to the U-S Energy Department, those structures have been filled and reinforced with concrete-like grout by contractor Central Plateau Cleanup Company.
A federal study in 2020 targeted the three places were plutonium-contaminated liquids were stored.
