One man is recovering after being shot in the leg at an RV Park near Quincy by two suspects who are on the run.

Grant County Sheriffs Deputies are investigating the incident which happened Thursday night off the 1000 block of SR 283 N., around 9:40 p.m. Deputies say Porfirio Armenta was shot in the leg, when two attackers approached him outside his trailer near the road and started shooting.

Sharon Palmerton with the Grant County Sheriffs Department says the 23-year-old victim was transferred from a local hospital to one in Seattle with non-life threatening injuries.

"The victim, Armenta, reported that he did not know the suspects, however Grant County Sheriff's deputies believe the incident may be related to an assault reported from the same RV park earlier that evening," says Palmerton.

Deputies say two firearms, one rifle and one handgun, were later recovered at the scene. The men are only described as Hispanic but deputies are working to get more information and any witnesses are asked to call police.
