Two injured in rollover crash on Highway 240

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- A crash on Highway 240 near Columbia Center Boulevard sent two people to the hospital Friday morning.

The crash was reported at about 7:20 a.m., after Troopers with Washington State Patrol say a pick-up truck drifted off the road, over-corrected, and rolled in the median, landing on its top.

The driver, Frank Allen, 39, Kennewick, and a passenger, Erin Sanders, 49, Kennewick, were both wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. They were able to get out of the vehicle as troopers and medics arrived on the scene.

Both the driver and the passenger were transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with unknown injuries.

The driver was cited for Negligent Driving in the 2nd Degree.
