Two arrested after caught breaking into Yakima business

Deputies in Yakima County have arrested two people after they were caught stealing from a business early this morning.

When deputies arrived at the building in the 2400 block of Terrace Heights Drive, they noticed evidence someone had broke in to the closed business. Deputies also noticed a 40-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman running from the area on foot. Both were dropping items as they ran off and deputies say that lead to a short chase.

Both were taken into custody and now face burglary, malicious mischief and resisting arrest.

Officers from Yakima Police Department, Selah Police Department, Moxee Police Department and the Washington State Patrol.
