Richland drug drop off collects prescription meds year-round

Back in June, the Richland Police Department put up a container in their lobby that allows residents to safely dispose of unneeded prescription drugs.

The department participates in the National Prescription Drug Take-back Event every year, but this allows drugs to be dropped off all year long.

In just the first three months, the department collected 100 pounds of prescription medication.

Medications can be dropped off during regular business hours.
