Prosser students win math competition

A group of 4th graders from Prosser Heights Elementary School walked away with the first place prize at a Math is Cool Competition in Sunnyside on Monday, March 24th. The 4th graders won the first place prize as a group, while 5th graders took 2nd place in their division.

In individual competitions, 4th grader Owen Hartliep earned a 1st place prize, 5th grader Jaden Peters received a 2nd place, and 5th grader Mackenzi Gonzalez took 6th.

Officials at Prosser Heights Elementary School say they plan to take part in the competition again next year.
