HERMISTON, Ore.-- Students at Hermiston High School's FFA program are adapting to the social distancing rules put in place by Gov. Kate Brown, and plan to host their annual plant sale on-line this year.

The school has set up an online store to pre-sell hanging flower baskets and vegetable and bedding starts online.

Supporters can select the plants they want online, then pick up their selections on April 30, 2020 between 9 and 11a.m. and 4 and 6 p.m.

Customers can choose from four different varieties of hanging baskets, including verbena, petunia, fuchsia, and bacopa.

Veggies and bedded plants, including tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapeno, and bell peppers, as well as sixteen varieties of ground cover and bedding flowers.

Due to school policy and social distance guidelines customers will not be allowed in the greenhouse, but can wait in their car for curbside pickup.

All the proceeds from the plant sale help to support the school's FFA programs.
