Pasco police warn community after four cars stolen overnight

Pasco Police say some of the most popular cars to steal, are also the easiest to hotwire, especially if you help out the thieves by leaving your car unlocked.

Mid-90s model Hondas and Acuras can be stolen using a standard screwdriver. Police say the 1996 Honda Accord 4-door is the most popular to steal.

Officers say Tuesday night they recovered two stolen cars, but four were reported stolen Wednesday morning. Officers say they were able to recover one this morning and arrest those inside, but the other three were taken with keys left in vehicles.

Pasco police remind the community that living in a nice neighborhood does not protect you, it just means the thieves go there because that's where the nice cars are.
