One man dead, Kennewick officers search for suspect in shooting

A man is dead following a shooting in the area of 7th and Olympia in Kennewick on Monday.

Officers say they were called to the 1500 block of West 7th Place after reports of a shooting outside a home. Officers say the victim was found in the driveway of a home with a gunshot wound and they performed CPR on the victim before he was transported to Trios hospital and pronounced dead.

Kennewick Police Sgt. Randy Maynard says they are now searching for a Hispanic man in his 20's who left the scene in a white or cream-colored sedan type vehicle as a possible suspect.

Officers did not release what lead up to the shooting, nor how many times the victim may have been shot or where.

The victim's identity has yet to be released pending the notification of family.

The Washington State Patrol Crime Scene Response Team has been requested to assist with the crime scene processing.
