MOSES LAKE, Wash.-- One man is in custody in Grant County after officers served a search warrant at a home Tuesday, and located illegal drugs.


Moses Lake Police Department's Street Crimes Unit was investigating heroin sales in the Moses Lake city limits, and were able to trace some drugs back a home in Warden.


With the help of the Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team, United States Border Patrol, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, ad Firearms, officers served a search warrant at 19638 Hwy 170 E., just outside of Warden Tuesday, and recovered more than three pounds of heroin, $42,000 in cash, and two firearms.


Investigators also seized four cars on the property suspected of being used to distribute drugs.


As part of the investigation, officers arrested Erik Velazquez Gumesindo, 41, on charges of possession of heroin with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine and two counts of alien in possession of a firearm. 


Gumesindo is expected to be transferred to federal custody to face federal charges.
