KENENWICK, Wash.-- Starting next week, COVID-19 testing sites in the Tri-Cities will have new hours of operation.

Both locations that offer drive-thru testing will open an hour earlier and close earlier in order to avoid having staff members out in the sun during the hottest parts of the day.

Starting Tuesday, the Toyota Center site in Kennewick will have testing available from 7 A-M until noon, Tuesday through Saturday.

The Hapo Center in Pasco will have testing available from 7 A-M to 1 P-M, also Tuesday through Saturday.

No appointments are needed at either location, and test results are provided by phone and/or mail.

There is no cost for testing. You are asked to bring your insurance card if you have one, and provide photo ID.

The drive-thru community testing is a collaborative effort among Benton-Franklin Health District, Washington State Department of Health, Benton County Emergency Management, Franklin County Emergency Management, and the Washington National Guard.
