FINLEY, Wash.-- One person died after falling from his raft at Two Rivers Park in Finely Thursday evening.

Paramedics and Dive Rescue were called out to the park shortly before 5 P-M... where they found the 52-year old man who had been pulled out of the water by witnesses.

At least one of the rescuers suffered from heat exhaustion and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

First responders worked to try reviving the victim at the scene, but he was pronounced dead.

Deputies have not said whether the man was wearing a life jacket when he fell into the water.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

This is the third reported drowning situation in Benton County this month, and the first one known to be a fatality.

Last week, a 12-year old girl was hospitalized after she jumped into the Columbia River at Howard Amon Park. Her condition is not know. Earlier this month, a toddler boy was not breathing when he was pulled from a wading pool in his family's back yard. According to social media reports from the family, the boy has recovered.
