Kennewick officer rear-ended by drunk driver

A man was arrested in Kennewick last night for driving drunk, after he rear-ended a marked police SUV.

Kennewick police officers say an officer was stopped at a red light on westbound 10th Ave at Garfield when he was hit from behind.

The driver pushed the SUV forward a few feet. Both the officer and DUI driver were OK.

The DUI driver was taken to Trios to provide a blood sample before being booked into jail. Both vehicles had to be towed.
