KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Kennewick Irrigation District has scheduled a week-long irrigation outage for a portion of central Kennewick starting Monday, June 15th.


According to a press release, about 300 irrigation district customers in the Metaline area east of Edison St. through Friday while crews replace a pipeline that was installed in the 1960s and was damaged during the latest remodel work at Kamiakin High School.


The pipe repair project should wrap up on June 19th.


Officials with KID say they decided to do the repair this week because temperatures are expected to be cooler. The project also needs to be completed before the parking lot can be completed for students in the fall.
