#K9Lemon tallies, superstition, jokes on social media, show the humorous side of the Pasco officers, who say it is all for a serious purpose.

Fifty years ago, police officers engaged with their community by walking the beat. Today, local law enforcement generally only interact with about 10% of the population: People who are committing crimes, or are victims of crimes.

"The social media, the Facebook is another tool we can utilize to complete the job," says Pasco Police Sergeant Scott Warren.

Sgt. Scott Warren with the Pasco Police Department says they have a bit of reputation for their entertaining posts. In fact, they have just 2,400 fewer follower than the Seattle PD.

On top of the community interactions, using social media also allows officers to share and receive information to helps to solve crimes.

There is a few examples below, or you can see more posts at the Pasco Police Department Facebook page.
