The intrigue over American currency is reaching a fever-pitch as the Treasury Secretary is expected to announce Wednesday Harriet Tubman is going to be the face of the $20 bill, according to a report.

Originally, the US Treasury looked at replacing Hamilton on the $10 bill but the hugely popular Broadway musical, Hamilton, thrust America's first Treasury Secretary back into the spotlight. Some say the hit show saved his spot on the $10 bill.

Andrew Jackson is currently on the $20, if the redesign happens, the first bill not be printed until 2030.

A woman has never been featured on US paper money, Tubman, an African-American, who was a Civil War-era abolitionist, would be the first.
