“Happy Birthday to You!” Walmart giving away cupcakes

You can score a free cupcake at Walmart Sunday as the store celebrates everyone's birthday. Yes, everybody's birthday!

The chain says customers do not need a code or coupon, you just can show up, with many of the stores giving the treats out between 1-4 p.m. Customers can pick between a chocolate or vanilla cupcake with buttercream or whipped topping. Walmart expects to give away 3 million cupcakes across the nation.

All three Tri-Cities Walmart superstores plan to participate, those stores include the one in Kennewick off Quillian, the one in Pasco off Road 68 and the one in Richland off Duportail. The event in Richland runs from 12:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.
