About 75 homes have been evacuated following a fire that started Sunday evening near Leavenworth.

Firefighters plan to have at least four helicopters and one tanker will be on the air attack Monday. Total acreage now considered approximately 500 acres and the Information officer Rick Isaacson says containment is still 35% on the blaze.

Deployed crews from Orting Valley Fire and Rescue near Puyallup say they were able to rescue a dog Monday morning outside of Leavenworth. This is the crews second week fighting fire in eastern Washington.

On Sunday, crews from Grant County Fire District #13 near Ephrata went up to help with the fire overnight. Over 300 people are now helping with the Suncrest Fire.
