Chlorine Production Resumes

The chlorine shortage affecting Washington and the rest of the Pacific Northwest is over. Officials at Westlake Chemical in Longview say they've repaired a transformer at the facility and are back in operation. The facility, which provides chlorine to utilities in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Northern California, suffered an electrical failure that disrupted the supply chain last month.
