Kennewick Police arrested a man after a 3-hour long standoff Sunday night.

Officers say they tried pulling over a car on Saturday, but the driver refused to stop and pull over. Police decided not to pursue the vehicle at that time but did track down the car later on. A search warrant on the vehicle uncovered drugs and weapons connected to the suspect, who was identified as 26-year old Darren Yeater.

When police tried serving an arrest warrant for Yeater Sunday evening, he barricaded himself inside a house on W. 2nd Ave, where he stayed for about 3 hours while police officers and Tri-City Regional SWAT officers negotiated with him. He finally surrendered to police without incident.
