Car crashes into irrigation canal in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Columbia Basin Dive Rescue was called out to the 1200 block of W. Canal Drive Tuesday morning to help with the removal of a car.

According to a spokesperson for the Kennewick Fire Department, a male driver was able to get out of the sedan on his own after it went into the canal just after 6:00 a.m.

The driver was not hurt.

Dive Rescue crews worked with a tow company to help get the vehicle out of the canal.

It's not know whether the driver will face any charges.
