Body found in search for missing Granger man

The body of a Granger man who went missing while swimming was recovered in Kittitas County on Sunday. Divers with the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office recovered the body of David Burgos Villagomez, 27. Villagomez went missing June 19th while swimming with friends. Villagomez was reportedly a strong swimmer, but witnesses say he disappeared suddenly. His body was on the north end of Mattoon Lake, about 50 yards from shore. Authorities say the lake is 10 to 50 feet deep in the area where the body was found.
