Gearing up for Hydroplane races in Tri-Cities

The Water Follies Association is getting plans ready for the 51st annual Columbia Cup next Summer.

This comes on the heels of H1 Unlimited awarding the Columbia Cup as the best site for a second year in a row.

Kathy Powell with Water Follies says the Patriot Jet Team will be here July 29th through the 31st.

She is also excited about the Northwest Power Boat Association bringing a new boat race to Richland.

"That really is going to be a great prelude to our event, I encourage everyone to go down there and check it out," says Powell.

The Richland Regatta takes place June 3rd top the 5th at Howard Amon Park.
